Carlye Martin, Lee High School, 2013

Carly Martin is graduating from Lee High School. With a GPA above 4.0. She is an International Baccalaureate candidate. Carly has been an avid lacrosse player for at least eight years, serving as team captain and helping integrate new members. In addition, she participated in varsity cross country. Active in Lee's student government association, Carly helped organize events such as surprise brunches for teachers, pep rallies and talent shows. She served as a Senator for the last two years. She's also written for the school's newspaper.

Carly has participated in Grace’s youth group, the senior high Sunday school class, has been on a mission trip to Honduras, and walked in the CROP Walk with our church. She has been described as very encouraging and caring, a helper, and someone who gives her all. It should not come as a surprise that she works at Key Center, helping disabled and autistic students.

 Carly is interested in science and works at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum in their Explainers Program--assisting with exhibits and presenting a variety of topics to visitors. She will be attending William and Mary in the fall.
